Today was another day at the children's hospital for a lecture and to get our computer training completed, so we were required to dress "business casual" again. Of course, the pants I wanted to wear were wrinkled beyond repair, so I went for this simple, easy dress. I love dresses because they are so easy to just throw on and get out the door.
Pardon the doggie dishes in the photo. My neighbors were out in their backyard when I got home today, and I felt silly going out to take pictures in front of them. : S
Outfit Details:
Faux-wrap dress - purchased on eBay
Black snakeskin flats - thrifted (I picked these because the shoes from yesterday gave me blisters on my pinkie toes, and I knew I couldn't deal with heels today)
Silver bangles - Lane Bryant
White necklace - Catherine's
Earrings - gift from sandrandan
This dress looks great on you! I love that you kept the black and white going with the shoes and the necklace. Very cool.

Sassy! LOVE this. love love L-O-V-E LOVE THIS OUTFIT.
ReplyDeleteLove dress it. You look goregous!
ReplyDelete...and looked good if you had to wear your lab coat! Even as a student it is better to look as professional as you can. It becomes a habit.
ReplyDeleteDo toss the shoes that give you pain. Take care of your feet; you'll be spending lots of time on them. I always kept two pairs of white nurses' shoes to rotate and dry out well between wearings.
I'm not listed as a follower. I read your blog from a feed list. Enjoy seeing the pets in your pics.
I just found your blog and I love it! I'm such a fan of throwing on a dress when everything else is too hard. It's an easy way to look chic and put together...provided I have done the ironing!

Linda - Thanks girl!
ReplyDeleteNellJean - I agree. I'm not too far from graduation, so I want to leave a good impression with anyone I come in contact with, on the off chance they will remember me when I am interviewing for a job! Thanks so much for reading!
2manycupcakes - Such a cute name, BTW! One of the reasons I love this dress is because it's a sort of slinky material that never needs ironing. I hate to iron (unless I'm quilting, for some reason)! Thanks for the comment. : )
You look great! I am always excited when I find another blogger whose about my size and age (I'm 27 and wear 24/26). And I was just about to compliment your gorgeous blog design when I realized Mary did it! she is designing mine as I type this!
ReplyDeleteSo glad I found your blog. I'm excited for further outfit inspiration.
