Daily Outfit - Final Day of the Black-Out Challenge!

Today was so hot and humid, that I just couldn't put much effort into looking good. I rarely ever feel that way, so I apologize for the lapse in cute outfits. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't even post this outfit, but since it was the last day of the Black-Out Challenge I thought I should.

Whew! I am finally done with school for the summer. Well, I am taking an online class and two one day classes, but I won't have to go to clinicals for a few months! Yay!

As much as I enjoyed challenging myself with only five items of clothing, I'm glad that challenge is over! I still have two more days of no black though, so stay tuned to see how I do! I hope everyone else participating had fun with this too. : )

Daily Outfit: Day Two of the Wardrobe Challenges

Today I messed around with my outfit a lot before settling on the final version. I was told that I looked sophisticated by one friend, and then another one told me I looked like an art teacher. I'm not sure if that is good or bad, because I had some really cool art teachers back in the day!

Jerry-rigged tripod consists of: Laptop stand, cardboard boxes, and a bottle of pills to keep the camera from toppling over. I swear, I should have become an engineer.

Summer Capsule Wardrobe Challenge/Summer Black-Out Challenge

Yup. I am doing two, TWO, wardrobe challenges at once! Yikes! Sal's Black-Out Challenge is happening from June 7th (tomorrow) until next Monday the 14th. Details can be found here at Already Pretty. These are all very basic pieces, but I plan on trying to fancy them up with some colorful and fun accessories and shoes. We will have to wait and see how this all works out! Are any of you doing either (or both!) of these challenges?

Black Out Challenge

Sal over at Already Pretty issued a challenge to her fellow fashionistas to forgo wearing black for an entire week (!). I know for some this is going to be extremely difficult for many of my fellow bloggers, but I think I'm going to try it. I don't wear too much black anymore (I had an unfortunate few years where it seemed everything in my closet was black, gray, or white), so it won't be quite the challenge for me. I really like the idea of mixing things up and trying out new things with clothing though, and this might motivate me to be a little more daring in general with my outfits.
