Moving!

I know I told you all that I was working on making some changes on the blog (and I still am!), but the reason I have been slacking off on posting is because we are moving.

We purchased our current house around five years ago, right when we got married.  We've spent our entire married life here, so there are a lot of memories in this little house.  The reason we are moving is because Jimmy received a wonderful job offer, and it was just too good to pass up.
The catch is that the job is in Illinois, and we currently live in Ohio.
(That's two states away for those not in the midwest.)
I've never lived anywhere but Ohio in my whole twenty-nine years.  In fact, I've never lived more than 25 minutes away from my parents, so this will be a big change for me.

Right now we (and that means, me) are trying to clean out our house and get ready for a garage/moving sale.  I am going to try to have it next weekend, since Jimmy will be home to help out.  The following week he leaves for Illinois, and I will be coordinating with movers and painters and having new carpeting put in so we can put the house on the market for sale.
I hope whoever ends up here makes as many great memories as we did.

I will be posting some videos and OOTDs soon!

OOTD - Army Chic

Not the best picture (was making a ridiculous face), I know, but I don't have a tripod for my new camera yet, so I have to take what I can get before Jimmy gets tired of being my photographer.
I wore this outfit on a not-so-hot day when we were running around doing some errands and shopping.  It was super comfy, and it was something I just kind of threw on, but I really liked how it came together.  I might have worn some regular length jeans and cuffed them, instead of wearing the capri pants, but otherwise
I think it works pretty well!

Outfit Details:
(click link to see actual item)
Striped 3/4 sleeve top - Old Navy
Star Cuff Capris - Avenue
Army Jacket - Lane Bryant from a few years ago (similar)
Converse All-Stars - Purchased at a Converse store in Virginia (similar)
Yellow Bubble Necklace - I forget where this came from. . . (similar)
Charm Bracelet - I think this came from Avenue a few years ago.
Bag - Coach

These shoes are so comfy!  I haven't had a pair of All-Stars in years, and I forgot how awesome they are.  Anybody else feeling the Converse love?

New Facebook Page!

Hey, everybody!  I have been working on updating and tweaking the blog a little, so to go along with that, I have created a new Facebook page.  It is a business style page, but I thought it would be easier to find via search than the old page.  All you have to do it search "Loving the Reflection", and it should pop up for you to click on.  I plan on using the page to post little updates and things that aren't necessarily blog-worthy.

I also have an Instagram account, if anyone would like to follow it.  You can either search "lovingthereflection" or click here.

I don't have a Twitter account.  I've tried a couple times, and just cannot really get into it.  Sorry.

I would be thrilled for some new friends on FB and Instagram!  Hope to hear from you guys soon.  : )

Bath & Body Works Haul!!

I know I said I was back, and I really am (promise!), but I have been thinking about what I want this blog to be, so please be patient with me while I figure out in what direction I want to take this thing.

In the meanwhile, I did hit the Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual Sale today and got stocked up on some goodies.
I ended up nabbing two body sprays, two body lotions, two foaming hand soaps, two two-packs of wallflower refills, one wallflower plug-in thingie, some foot cream, and one of the Scentportable clips and a refill for my car (not pictured).  All of this for $50.  Not too shabby!

I picked up two of the wallflower refill duos in Fresh Linen and Island Margarita.

I love the foaming hand soaps from B&BW, and so does Jimmy.  I have the Coconut Cove scent in the kitchen right now, and it's so good that I bought a back up for when it runs out. I also nabbed the Wild Honeysuckle scent for my bathroom.

Sheer Freesia is one of those scents that reminds me of middle school and early high school when all the girls were getting into the body sprays and lotions from B&BW.  Back in the day when Country Apple, Plumeria, Cucumber Melon, and Warm Vanilla Sugar reigned supreme in the locker bay, Sheer Freesia was always my pick.  So for nostalgia alone, I couldn't resist getting some lotion and body spray.

I have noticed these new "destination" scents the past few times I've been in Bath & Body Works, but didn't really give them any thought.  At work a few weeks ago, one of the receptionists was wearing something that smelled so fantastic all day, and when I asked her what she had on she showed me the bottle of this stuff she had at her desk.  I decided then that I had to check it out for myself.  It is nice a floral, but not too overpowering.  And the packaging is really cute on this stuff, so I picked up the lotion and the body spray in Rome Honeysuckle Amore as well.

I also snagged the Scentportable refill in Tiki Beach, which is a nice summery, beachy (how appropriate!) scent.  No photos of that, because as soon as I got in the car I stuck in on the passenger visor.

Do you guys plan to hit the Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual Sale?  Have you already made some purchases?  I'd love to hear what you bought, or plan on buying.
What is your absolute favorite scent from Bath & Body Works?
Mine is Moonlight Path, because it's what I wore a lot when Jimmy and I first started dating, and anytime I put it on he gets all goofy and reminisces about old times.  He's such a big softie.

After not posting for almost a year, I realized how much I miss blogging!  Life kind of got in the way for a while, but I am vowing to make a real effort to keep up with the blog from this point forward.  I can't wait to share outfit posts, beauty faves, and get back in touch with you guys!  Thanks to those of you who stuck around!
