Anna of the blog Bargain Fatshionista has challenged her fellow bloggers to refrain from spending any money on clothes, shoes, or accessories for the entire month of January. Of course, I can't resist a challenge, so I (along with a bunch of other fabulous ladies) took her up on it! We were able to put stipulations on the challenge, so luckily I am able to use my gift cards from Christmas and my upcoming birthday (Jan. 21st) to purchase clothes and accessories, but no out-of-pocket cash. I'm hoping that I can make it through the month! Wish me luck, and if you'd like to join check out Anna's blog and sign up!
Oh, and I started school again today, and just realizing that in less than three months I'll be an official R.N. has made me so excited for March to get here!
Good luck!! I do so horribly with "no spend" challenges. I gave myself a tentative budget for Jan and I have already spent 2/3 of it. Oopsies!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome about becoming a RN. You should be very proud of yourself!
Thanks, Kimberly. I'm not very good at them either, but I'm hoping that being able to use my gift cards will placate me until Feb. : )
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! It just started to seem real to me today when we were discussing the cost (ugh) of graduation and state boards.
good luck with the challenge. i don't think i can do that! LOL. great news about becoming a RN too!
ReplyDeleteOh man. I already bought some fun clearance stuff & spring is coming out here in Florida :) I couldn't do it!
ReplyDeleteLinda - Thank you! I need all the luck I can get. I just keep filling up online carts, but not checking out. : )
ReplyDeleteDiana - The clearance sales are killing me! It's so hard to refrain.
No problem. I haven't spent money for clothes for myself since November. :)
