Outfit of the Burnt Lunch


Jimmy and I went to lunch at our favorite Mexican place today, and they burned both of our lunches! They replaced Jimmy's right away, but mine took awhile so I ended taking it to go. Eh, it happens.

Here's what I wore to eat a burnt quesadilla:
It was windy today!

Outfit of the Birthday party- plus new hair!




Today was my youngest nephew's third birthday party, so we went over to my sis-in-laws for a cookout and cake.
The birthday boy, Alex. He got so excited when he opened this toy!

Time for presents! (That's my almost five-year old nephew on the far left)

This was the gift Alex got from his parents. This thing is so cool. It has a real radio in it!



And now onto the outfit! It wasn't anything fancy.


I don't know why I look so stumpy in this picture. It might be because my husband is 6'1'' and I'm 5'4'', so the angle is a little skewed. Really this shirt isn't quite this long, and my legs aren't quite this short. : )

I don't know if you can tell (I couldn't seem to get any good pictures!), but my hair is auburn now with coppery highlights. I had JeriLe cut it straight across instead of in my typical angled bob as well. Not very dramatic, but a nice change.

I got into a conversation about hairstyles and color today, and now I'm curious; Do you tend to change your hair based on the seasons? I know a lot of women go shorter and lighter in the summer, but I've never really been one to do so.

Gettin' my hair did with the girls!


So tonight my friend (and hairdresser) JeriLe came over to do mine, my sister in law, and my friend Stacee's hair. Of course I had to take pictures!

Daily Outfit

I received my Fashion to Figure order the other day, and thought I should break out my new duds! I ordered the nautical bolero from last Tuesday's post, and a crochet back shrug. I wore the shrug today with my new black maxi dress from Fashion Bug. It was super comfy and cute (comfy being key as I had a 9am-4pm class today).

Jimmy thought it would be funny to get the dog in the background of my picture doing her "business". This is my "No, Honey!" pose.Outfit Details:

In Support of Gabi!

The gorgeous and wonderful Gabi over at Young, Fat, & Fabulous made a very exciting announcement via her blog today. She is one of 20 finalists in the running to become the very first ever MTV Twitter Jockey! She needs lots of support and Twitter followers people (username @gabifresh). Wouldn't it be awesome to have one of our own curvy fashionistas on MTV?!

Daily Outfit

Today Jimmy and I went out to lunch with my sis-in-law, bro-in-law, and nephews, at one of my favorite restaurants. This place has the best fish and chips! I forgot to take my camera with us to lunch (boo), but I did get Jimmy to take a picture of my outfit when we got back home.
Outfit Details:
Tank: Torrid (purchased during one of their awesome clearance sales)
Coral Cardi: Old Navy
Jeans: Avenue
Sandals: TorridSuper Sparkly Necklace: Forever 21
Knotted Earrings: Forever 21


We were driving home from lunch today and my husband said "Your necklace is like a disco ball!" and pointed at the ceiling in the car. Of course, I had to take a picture.

When we got home we turned on the sprinkler, and the dog kept trying to drink from it. I found it hilarious.
And here's my new nailpolish (and sausage fingers). It's called "For Audrey" by
China Glaze. It's a Tiffany blue color. Loving it!
