Skin Cancer Facts

Sun, Summer Safety and Cancer
Via: Term Life Insurance

Everyone (and I even mean you, my darker skinned lovelies) needs to wear at least an SPF of 15 daily!  Many makeup formulas and moisturizers have 15 SPF in them, so check your products and if they don't have SPF, start including a sunscreen in your routine!

  1. Skin cancer is frightening.

My parents' BFF is a dermatologist, and she put the fear of the sun in me at a very young age. One of the reasons I love hats so much!

  2. I'm glad you did this post. Being African American, I always believe that I can just walk around not wearing anything. I'll be sure to put on sunscreen everyday.

  3. Thanks for this post.
I keep reading that darker skinned people should cover up too, but I've never met one with skin cancer. Possibly the lighter the skin the more sun block one should use. Thanks for the heads up.
