Outfit of the Movie Date

Today Jimmy and I went to lunch and to a matinee of Inception. We tried a new Mexican place, and it was really yummy. The movie was really interesting, and we both really liked it.

Outfit Details:
Colorful Blouse: Catherine's
Denim Pencil Skirt (yes, my legs are that white): Lane Bryant
White Cardigan: Old Navy
Coral Flats: Born
Wooden & Silver Bangles: really old
Earrings: I think I stole them from my sister
Sunglasses (it was really sunny& hot today!): Rayban Wayfarers

I wish this top were a little shorter, and I may end up hemming it a bit. I think it hits me in an unflattering place and looks shapeless. I do love the colors though! I actually had a lady in Krogers stop me today to tell me that she liked my blouse. It's always nice to get compliments from strangers!

I'm sorry that I haven't done many outfit postings lately. It's been so hot and I've been such a homebody lately that I haven't been wearing many real "outfits". I'm going to try to kick things into gear again, so stay tuned!

Don't forget that today is the last day to send me Sparkle & Shine photos to be featured in the "Style Show &
Tell" post!

  5. Lesa & Maria - Thank you so much!

Case - I have a denim skirt that is super old so I thought it was time for a new one. These shoes are one of my favorite pairs. So comfy!

  6. Awesome outfit Courtney! I'm digging those shoes too, and the top is super cute. The length makes the skirt seem like a mini, so they really go nicely together.

I love going to the movies too! But I do miss USA popcorn, what they serve here in England is much healthier- :(

(I often wish "what not to wear" would fine me, but then again, I know they have to take those awful before shots - maybe your blog is more what I'm looking for!) Looking forward to lots of Plus Size help!!!! YIPPIE!!! (I'm a follower now, I'll be back soon!!!!)

  8. Eve - we refrained from the popcorn this time, but only because we just had lunch.

Leanne - Wow, thank you so much! You just made my day. I feel the same way about going on "What Not to Wear", but I would hate to see before photos of myself! lol

  10. Courtney, I can't do movies without the popcorn, full or not, I'm sorry. Hahhaa!

No, wait, the only time I did NOT have popcorn at a movie was when I saw Passion Of The Christ. But my silly friend, who I begged not to purchase popcorn, got some anyway and was the only one there with popcorn, and then she coudn't even stomach it. I warned her :)
